wines tasted at the party held for baby Thomas on 25/08/2012. For some this was the
best wine of the night. 14% ABV, cork closure. About
£10 (Majestic). This is now coming into its own after 10 years. It was a
bargain two years ago when I bought a case and it is now drinking well but has
life yet. Cherry red, showing some age around the edges of the glass. Leather,
toffee and cinnamon on the nose. Elegant and full in the mouth with lively
tannins still. Vanilla and berry fruits. This has improved since tasting it
about a year ago. From 2012. 17.5 / 20
